Graphic Design
This piece was my midterm assignment for my graphic applications class. I was tasked with replicating anything of my choosing as accuratley as possible. I chose an American muscle classic, the 1967 Ford Mustang. I created this in Adobe Illustrator using varius techniques I learned in class. It took many hours to get the shading and light sources correct on the body and the headlights of the car. The last step was to add a background, and to reinforce the aethstetic I chose a grungy looking underground parking garage. I loved the way this one turned out and it makes me want this car even more everytime I look at it. (Click image to enlarge)
For this assignment I was to recreate “The Art of Painting” by Johannes Vermeer. The requirements were to cut out the original subject who was posing, and insert someone who was recognizable in pop culture, as well as a hybrid animal. I choose Bryan Cranston’s picture from a poster of the AMC series Breaking Bad. The Animal has the body of a snake and the head of a lobster and sits on top of the easle helping with the painting. The entirety of this assignment was completed in Photoshop. This was a fun assignment to complete and has several small details that don’t meet the eye immedietly. (Click image to enlarge)
This was one of the first graphic design assignments I did in Photoshop. I was tasked with taking the viral Bernie Sanders mittens meme and adding it to a classic Adolphe Bouguereau painting. This was my first time working with textures in Photoshop. The goal was to make the entire piece appear to be on stretched canvas. I enjoyed this assignment and was happy to take part in the Bernie meme trend. (Click image to enlarge)
